Eclypse APEX
What is it?
The Eclypse APEX is similar to the S1000 but on steroids! Allowing you to utilize the versatility provided by the S1000 with more power and capabilities!.
The APEX is capable of standing on its own as a site supervisor or seamlessly going into a larger BAS system as a controller. .
With built-in chips and capabilities, the APEX is ready for future functionality without additional cost to upgrade.
How does it work?
Similar to the S1000, the APEX can utilize several modules to allow you to scale and customize your necessary IO. However, the APEX has more memory, a faster processor, plus a dedicated processor for the MSTP Bus.
With features such as the AI Co-Processor, plus the ability to utilize MQTT, Dockers, & containers the APEX is set up for the future.
With Distech’s own platform coming in the future the APEX will act as your front end working directly with ECLYPSE Building Intelligence.
What they're saying:
Although the AI Co-Processor is embedded into the APEX, Distech does not have functions for it. It is in place to set up the APEX for the inevitable future of AI coming to the IoT network.
The Apex’s 2GB of RAM and 32GB of flash memory give it the horsepower needed for the quick processing of data as it comes in.
Apex’s two Ethernet ports (1Gbps each) provide ample broadband for communication while also allowing for a physical firewall between your IT and OT networks if desired.
Bottom Line:
With all that it has to offer the APEX is competitively priced and ready for the market.
In addition to the great things the APEX offers on its own, it is part of a bigger Eclypse platform of controllers that work together seamlessly.
On your next project with sever S1000, maybe think of replacing one with an APEX to utilize all it has to offer plus prepare for the future.
