What is it?
Belimo's Energy Valve is a specialized control valve designed to optimize energy efficiency and provide comprehensive monitoring and control capabilities beyond those of typical pressure independent control valves (PICVs).
Unlike typical PICVs, which only regulates flow, the Energy Valve adds energy monitoring functionality.
It measures energy consumption, energy efficiency, and Delta T, providing insights into system performance and energy usage. This data can be used for energy audits, optimization, and troubleshooting.
In essence, the Belimo Energy Valve serves as an intelligent component within HVAC systems, contributing to energy savings, improved system performance, and better overall building management.

How does it work?
The embedded flow sensors allow the valve to continuously monitor energy consumption and provide real-time data on energy usage, flow rates, and temperatures.
Using the gathered data, the valve optimizes the performance of the system by dynamically adjusting flow rates to match the actual demand, ensuring energy efficiency while maintaining comfort levels.
The built-in Delta T manager effectively solves low Delta T issues by regulating water flow. This helps the heat exchanger release essential energy, safeguarding pumps and the plant during heat exchange.
Equipped with BACnet and Modbus, the Energy valve integrates into building automation systems for remote control, monitoring, data analysis, and facilitates proactive maintenance and energy optimization.
