Enterprise Software Maintenance Agreements (ESMA)

What is it?

An Enterprise Service Maintenance Agreement or ESMA is a licensing service provided by Tridium that allows all the SMAs on Niagara products at a site to have the same expiration date that you can choose!

 How does it work?

A Contractor or End User customer can request an ESMA Proposal through Stromquist for any brand(s) of Niagara SMAs on a site.

A proposal quote is created by Tridium for the cost to align all the current SMAs to the requested date working out in the customer’s favor by extending existing expiration dates up to 365 days to match the new requested expiration date.

All we need is a list of at least 5 host IDs on the same site, a requested expiration date and a name for the proposal

 What they're saying:

The Niagara Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) ensures you’re always equipped with the latest technology, enhancements, and critical cybersecurity updates for the Niagara Framework®. With SMA, your systems are in good hands:

  • Timely Updates: Stay current with the newest features and patches, keeping your Niagara 4 deployments running smoothly and securely.
  • Expert Efficiency: Service providers can focus on solving your operational challenges instead of spending time on licensing and administrative tasks.
  • Enhanced Performance: Maximize the potential of your systems with access to cutting-edge innovations and improvements available only through SMA.

 Bottom Line:

The ESMA offering from Tridium is an excellent service to take advantage of as it allows you to align all the SMAs on a site to a single date.

This date can be a huge benefit for end users sites by allowing for easy budgeting of SMA renewal costs. It can also be an easy date to setup reminders about SMA expiration time.
